LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear ARCO Members:

The officers of ARCO would like to announce that we are moving ahead with our plans for a meeting in Korea in October of this year. You will find the details for abstract submission and registration for the next ARCO meeting attached. Please make every effort to attend.

It is now time to renew your annual membership to ARCO. Attached you will find a copy of the membership renewal form. Please return this by fax (1-410-532-5908). We have initiated a new membership drive. Please consider asking your colleagues to join ARCO. It is important for us to recruit younger members so that ARCO can continue on.

We are in the process of upgrading our presence on the Internet, which can be reached at www.arco-intl.org. We are currently adding articles from past issues of the ARCO newsletter. We would like to invite all members to contribute to the e-Newsletter just about anything: case reports, preliminary reports, suggestions for research, reviews of published articles that you think are especially noteworthy, offers of collaboration, etc. This is part of an initiative to increase our presence in the scientific community. This type of venue can become a conduit for increased cooperation and collaboration between and among the membership. As we realize that some of you will not be able to attend the meeting in Korea, we are planning to put as much of the scientific content of the meeting on the web site and hope that the presentations at the meeting can stimulate on-going discussions.
